Description
Annual Meeting of the Danish Electrochemical Society
November 6th - 7th 2025
Venue: DTU, Lyngby, 2800 Denmark
The Danish Electrochemical Society
(DEF) is organising an annual two-day conference on
Electrochemical Science and Technology.
The main ambition of the annual conference is to provide a forum for interdisciplinary interaction between
students, researchers and industry professionals
working in the broad area of Electrochemical Science
and Technology. Another ambition of the conference
is to identify and connect the many different places in
Denmark and Scandinavia using electrochemistry in
academic as well as industrial settings.
The society welcomes both academic and industrial
researchers/professionals at all career stages to present their work. Presentations for the conference may
be based either on completed research projects or on
ongoing research. There will be prizes for the best
oral and poster presentations given by students and
postdocs.
Topics: Contributions covering developments in fundamental and applied research in electrochemistry,
and relevant experimental techniques, from a broad
range of areas including (but not limited to) energy
conversion (fuel cells/electrolysis/solar cells) and
storage (batteries), electrocatalysis, corrosion, physical and analytical electrochemistry, (bio-)sensors,
ionic liquids, and chemically modified electrodes, are
strongly encouraged.
Invited Speakers:
invited talks with the theme “From fundamental to applied and industrial electrochemistry”.
Confirmed invited speakers are:
• Prof. Emeritus Tim Burstein, University of Cambridge, UK
• Prof. Francesco Ciucci, University of Bayreuth, Germany
• Prof. Kim Daasbjerg, Aarhus University, Denmark
• Prof. Johan Hjelm, DTU Energy, Denmark
