The Danish Electrochemical Society is organizing the annual two days conference on “Electrochemical Science and Technology”. The ambition of the conference is to foster an interdisciplinary interaction between students, researchers and industry professionals working in the broad area of ‘Electrochemical Science and Technology’. Another ambition of the conference is to reveal and link together the many different places in Denmark and Scandinavia using electrochemistry in the academic as well as the industrial world.

The conference will mainly focus on contributions from Ph.D. and Post-Docs as Oral or Poster presentation. There will be invited contributions from academic and industrial experts. The society welcomes all students to use the conference as a platform for evaluating their research on a wider perspective, and a training ground for scientific presentations and discussions.

There will be a social gathering as part of the conference on the first day evening to bring together participants in an informal atmosphere. The Society will award a student prize for best presentation and best poster.

We welcome you all to Aarhus in October 2012.

Abstract submission

Authors are requested to submit abstracts before September 7^th 2012.

Abstract MUST use the template of the Danish Electrochemical Society, which can be downloaded here http://www.electrochemistry.dk/images/stories/DEF-template.doc

The abstract should be written in English (UK). Proposed papers for oral or poster presentation will be selected by the organising committee. However, authors are requested to make their choice on the type of presentation (poster/oral) during abstract submission. The contributions from students do not need to be based on a completed research programme.

Schedule of the conference

The conference will last for two days. The event will start on the afternoon of October 11^th with a symposium on: “Electrochemistry in surface modification“ with invited speakers from both industry and academia.

After the symposium, there will be a tour of “Nanohuset” at the Institute of Chemistry, followed by a conference dinner at the restaurant of the Institute of Chemistry.

On Friday, October 12^th the conference will start with an invited lecture by
