Call for papers

The Danish Electrochemical Society (DEF) is organising the annual two days conference on “Electrochemical Science and Technology”.  The ambition of the conference is to foster an interdisciplinary interaction between students, researchers and industry professionals working in the broad area of ‘Electrochemical Science and Technology’. Another ambition of the conference is to reveal and link together the many different places in Denmark and Scandinavia using electrochemistry in the academic as well as the industrial world. The conference will mainly focus on contributions from Ph.D. and Post-Docs as Oral or Poster presentation. There will be invited contributions from academic and industrial experts. The society welcomes all students to use the conference as a platform for evaluating their research on a wider perspective, and a training ground for scientific presentations and discussions. 

At this 8. annual meeting we will try a slightly new conference concept including accommodation.  We hope that staying together for 1 ½ day at the beautiful Sørup Herregaard conference facilities (www.sorup.dk/) will facilitate networking among the participants. 

We welcome you all to Sørup Herregaard in October 2013.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Authors are requested to submit abstracts before August 30th 2012.

Abstract MUST use the template of the Danish Electrochemical Society, which can be downloaded here http://www.electrochemistry.dk/images/stories/DEF-template.doc 

The abstract should be written in English (UK). Proposed papers for oral or poster presentation will be selected by the organising committee. However, authors are requested to make their choice on the type of presentation (poster/oral) during abstract submission. The contributions from students do not need to be based on a completed research programme.  The Society will award a student prize for best presentation and best poster.

Professor Lars Kloo, Inorganic Chemistry Division, Royal Technical College (KTH), Stockholm:"Photoelectrochemical solar cells - fundamentals and recent developments"

Dr Søren Dahl, Haldor Topsoe A/S, Lyngby, “Battery Materials – an industrial R&D perspective”.

Professor Peter Vang Hendriksen, Head of Section (Mixed Conductors), DTU Energy Conversion,"Solid Oxide Cells and Membranes - SOFC/SOEC/Oxygen membranes."

The invited speaker and program has been established in collaboration with Dansk Batteri Selskab.

• The prize of the conference is 1800 kr. which should be  paid directly to Sørup Herregaard.

• Students and PhD students are supported by 350 kr by DEF. The support requires an oral or poster contribution. If two persons share a room Sørup Herregaard offers a 250 kr./person discount.
