to register for the meeting. The deadline for registration is the 30th of September.
The Meeting: The Danish Electrochemical Society (DEF) is organising an annual two day
conference on “Electrochemical Science and Technology”. The main ambition of the
conference is to provide a forum for interdisciplinary interaction between students,
researchers and industry professionals working in the broad area of ‘Electrochemical
Science and Technology’. Another ambition of the conference is to identify and connect the
many different places in Denmark and Scandinavia using electrochemistry in academic as
well as industrial settings. The society welcomes both academic and industrial researchers
/ professionals at all career stages to present their work. Contributions from students do
not need to be based on a completed research programme. There will be prices for the
best oral and poster presentations given by students / postdocs.
Topics: Contributions covering developments in fundamental and applied research in
electrochemistry, and relevant experimental techniques, from a broad range of areas
including (but not limited to) energy conversion (fuel cells / electrolysis / solar cells) and
storage (batteries), electrocatalysis, corrosion, physical and analytical electrochemistry,
(bio-)sensors, ionic liquids, and chemically modified electrodes, are strongly encouraged.
Invited Speakers: This year's meeting has four invited speakers concentrating on
chemically modified electrodes, surface characterization, electrocatalysis, and impedance
spectroscopy. Invited talks will be given by:
* Prof. Constantinos Vayenas, University of Patras, Greece (abstract)
* Prof. Kim Daasbjerg, iNANO, Aarhus University, Denmark (abstract)
* Prof. S. Ray Taylor, University of Texas, Houston, USA (abstract)
* Dr. Rameez Ud Din, Technical University of Denmark (abstract)
Abstract Submission: Abstracts for Oral (15-20 min) or Poster (A0) presentations, max one
A4 page, should be submitted by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as a Word
